Guidelines for the Structure and Content of Review Articles
A review article should provide a critical analysis of current advancements, pressing trends, and unresolved challenges in cybersecurity, digital technologies, and cyber law. A review must not be a simple summary of abstracts; it requires a profound synthesis and analytical evaluation of the existing literature.
1. Length and Reference Requirements:
  • Word Count: 4,000 to 7,000 words (excluding the reference list).
  • Reference List: A minimum of 40–50 sources, where at least 70% must be publications indexed in Scopus/Web of Science within the last 3–5 years.
2. Structure of the Review:
  • Title Page: The title must include the word "Review" or "Analysis". Followed by an abstract (200–300 words, reflecting the objective, literature search strategy, and key findings) and keywords.
  • Introduction: Rationale for the topic's relevance, definition of the review scope, formulation of the aim, and research questions.
  • Search Strategy / Methodology: A brief description of how sources were selected (databases used, keywords, inclusion and exclusion criteria).
  • Main Body: Organized into thematic subsections. It must include a critical and comparative analysis of approaches, identifying contradictions in current research, as well as strengths and weaknesses of existing technical or legal solutions.
  • Discussion and Future Trends: Identification of research gaps, directions for future studies, and predictions for technology/regulatory evolution.
  • Conclusion: Brief conceptual takeaways based on the conducted analysis.
